Intern with Us
FERLC is developing an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students both in Tallahassee and Tampa. It is designed for those seeking to train in the public police arena on issues from a socially conservative Christian worldview. From November to May students in Tallahassee will work directly with Bill Bunkley, CEO of the FERLC, in monitoring both legislative committee meetings and the annual 60-day session of the Florida Legislature. If a students is committed to impact public policy and the broader culture, this is a program idea, as it is designed to instruct students in the behind-the-scenes process of the Florida Legislature. In Tampa and Tallahassee students can assist in research, bill tracking and social media communications.
Our interns will:
- Learn and undertake issue research, bill tracking, and the development of position papers.
- Take the responsibility of monitoring certain legislation both before and during committee meetings and during the legislative session.
- Develop an understanding about important moral and religious liberty issues facing the future.
- Take part in daily strategy planning and meetings with Bill Bunkley.
